What you’ll do
- Collaborate with R&D for Polestar projects and act as main contact for all commercial issues towards suppliers.
- Drive the cost reduction activity on existing programs by working with cross functional team to achieve the annual saving target.
- Develop sourcing strategies, carry out market test analysis and benchmarking studies, developing global Polestar supplier base strategically.
- Actively lead sourcing activities to ensure implementation of sourcing strategy and engineering development work.
- Support project team to drive resolution and establish action plans on supplier issues.
- Coordinate cross functional teams within Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to secure the deliverable of project.
- Collaborate with purchasing teams at Volvo Cars and establish strategies to maximize corporate synergies.
- Drive continuous improvement activities within purchasing and suppliers
- Work toward individual targets

Who you are
- 5 years+ purchasing experience from the automotive industry with extensive experience engaging with the oversea team.
- University degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
- Good understanding about cost structure, with fact-based negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English. Swedish will be plus.
- Good interpersonal skills, pleasant personality, cross culture understanding, organizing and coordinating ability.
- Ability to drive and complete tasks independently, task oriented and high driving spirit
- Smart and nimble mind-set, with efficient working performance under complicated global environment
- Positive and passionate, nothing is impossible mind-set, good team player
- International study / living experience will be an advantage.
