As China is the growing market for passenger cars, we are currently looking for an experienced section leader who shares the same passion and enthusiasm for driving our China specific navigation development. Located in Beijing our Navigation team is fully responsible and driving the design and development of not just China specific telematics systems, but also taking the responsibility for global features for Mercedes-Benz cars.

As section lead of Navigation backend you will be leading a section responsible for backend software/service design and development together with product owners, architect, etc. to realize navigation backend product.

As a leader you will also be responsible for translating high-level business and product strategy to your section member, taking care of task assignment and individual growth of the people.

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

·       Proven track record in leading backend development teams specializing in navigation or location-based services.

·       Mastery in programming languages crucial for backend development (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js) with a history of architecting robust navigation systems.

·       Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Navigation/Location-based service domain concepts and technologies.

·       Proficiency in designing scalable and reliable backend architectures tailored for navigation systems.

·       Experience in assimilating and translating customer requirements into robust backend navigation systems.

·       Proficiency in leveraging user research, usability testing, and user feedback to iteratively enhance navigation backend functionalities.

·       Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable navigation backend systems aligned with customer expectations.

·       A data-driven mindset, effectively utilizing data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvements in backend functionalities.

·       Profound familiarity with project management methodologies such as project planning, risk analysis, and their direct application in the backend development context.

·       Ability to define and articulate precise user stories, guiding backend development teams effectively.

·       Strong analytical capabilities coupled with a proven history of addressing intricate navigation challenges through innovative and pragmatic solutions.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills, facilitating seamless interaction with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers in technically comprehensive terms.
