About Vendor Consultant Program

Vendor Consultant Program is to own operational business metrics and associated tasks for JP AVS vendors. These include business metrics that require minimal financial judgement or commercial negotiations needed. We aim to deliver this through a dedicated team of vendor consultants, who will act as the primary owner of business metrics for their assigned set of vendors. Our primary customer is our vendors, who subscribe to the AVS service with the intent to get a customized service that will augment their growth on Amazon. To be able to delight our customer, we will aim to provide a high-quality service that exceeds our vendor’s expectations by driving their growth on Amazon by improving metric performance.
About the Role

Vendor Consultant Manager

Vendor Consultant Manager leads a GL for the program through a team of 10+ Vendor Consultants. You will collaborate internally with leaders from Retail and Vendor Services teams and will be responsible for certain aspects of the vendor’s business with Amazon. Ideal incumbent in this role would always be on a lookout for opportunity to add value to Amazon retail business through serving Amazon vendors. You will be required to analyze data, interact with cross functional teams, recommend and pilot improvements that will help us serve our customers better, inline with our goal to be the Earth’s Most Customer Centric Company.
Key job responsibilities
The key activities include:

1. Attract talent and make right hiring decisions, On-boarding and continuous development of a Vendor Consultant team and maintain a high delivery bar.

2. Lead team to deliver defined business metrics and quality goals by comprehensive solutions design and operational execution accountment.

3. Engage directly with multiple internal teams to optimize business for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon websites.

4. Connect with JP Retail GL Leads for GL Priorities and Vendor Performance - Weekly/ Bi-weekly;

5. Owns GL/program wide project on metric deliverables, process optimization, tech. solutions.

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

- 10 years’ experience in service delivery/operations/project management, ability to thrive within a fast paced metrics driven environment.

- Minimum 3 year experience in people management and complex metrics management, or in complex project management.

- Excellent written and Oral Japanese and English

- Possess strong communication and leadership skills

- Able to work in an ambiguous, dynamic & ‘internet-speed’ environment with tight deadlines

- Have an absolute passion for ensuring a great customer experience

- Possess exceptional skills in data manipulation and analysis

- Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

Preferred qualifications
- Project management experience & project management Certificate

- Lean Six Sigma certificate

- Overseas working or study experience

- Experience or skills in IT or engineering working environment

- MBA
