Responsibilities

1. Project planning

• Clarify and freeze the scope of the request from Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi stakeholders

• Elaborate macro-planning and estimate budget, resources and risks

• Submit a project to Intake Committee Meeting for validation

• Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes

• Drive technical feasibility studies

• Propose the scope, deliverables, budget estimation and schedule of the project to Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi stakeholders

2. Project scope management

• Manage project scope and changes

• Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested services and products

3. Stakeholder communication

• Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication with Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi stakeholders and the 5 Joint Ventures through which they operate in China

4. Project progress management

• Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline

• Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards

• Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings

5. Project issue management

• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

• Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration or litigation, as needed

6. Team management

• Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews

• Provide on-site leadership for project team by motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones

7. Reporting

• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas and deliver a project status report to stakeholders

• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various stakeholders, including Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi management and the 5 Joint Ventures through which they operate in China

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

• 7+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects, auto industry preferred, especially from Connected Car field

• 5+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment, auto industry preferred, especially from Connected Car field

• 3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle, auto industry preferred, especially from Connected Car field

• Excellent experience in the project management of connected services (including smartphone apps and corresponding backend systems) for or in large scale and multinational consumer product companies

• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective

• Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment

• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations in diverse work environment

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

• Build and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives

• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands

• Experience leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance

• Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management

• Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Experience in successfully leading projects to on-time, on-schedule and within budget close

• Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
