Job Responsibilities
岗位职责
1.The appointee will establish, co-ordinate and implement a comprehensive library services for the university.
负责大学图书馆的建立、协调和开展全面工作；
2.Responsible for the development and timely delivery of the Library’s strategic plans, policies and services consistent with the university mission.
领导制定并及时提供与大学使命一致的图书馆战略计划、政策和服务；
3.Providing direction to university administration in deployment of library services to support teaching, learning, research, administration and social activities of the university.
为大学行政部门提供指导，以支持大学的教学、学习、研究、管理和社会活动；
4.Overseeing the development of the Library’s print and digital collections.
监督图书馆纸质和数字藏书的发展；
5.Developing and managing the Library budget.
制订和管理图书馆预算；
6.Recruiting, managing and developing a team of high quality Library staff.
招聘、领导和发展高素质的图书馆员工团队；
7.Designing and delivery of the Library's information skills training.
设计和提供图书馆信息技能培训；
8.Complete other tasks assigned by the leader.
完成领导交办的其它工作。

Requirements
任职要求
1.A proven record of holding progressively more demanding leadership and management roles over a ten year period in an academic library, with at least five years in posts with significant managerial and budgetary responsibility.
在学术图书馆担任领导和管理角色达10年以上，并至少有5年重要管理和预算责任的岗位工作经验；
2.Organizational ability including the development, management and timely completion of large, complex library projects and programmes.
组织能力，包括开发、管理和及时完成大型复杂图书馆项目和计划；
3.A proven ability to design, deliver and evaluate user-centered learning services and technologies.
设计、提供和评估以用户为中心的学习服务和技术的能力；
4.Effective people management and teamed together building skills.
有效的人员管理和团队建设能力；
5.Knowledge of emerging and current global trends in academic librarianship, information technologies and scholarly communication.
了解学术图书馆、信息技术和学术交流的新兴和当前全球趋势；
6.Evidence of ongoing professional development, participation and contributions.
持续的专业发展、参与和贡献证据；
7.Library start-up, renovation or new build experience preferred; familiarity of library information system and a proven ability to oversee its implementation, familiarity with library web site development and maintenance.
有图书馆创办、装修或新建经验者优先；熟悉图书馆信息系统并具备监督其实施的能力，熟悉图书馆网站开发和维护；
8.Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
优秀的中英文书写和表达能力。
