POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Principal I of Server Management acts as a technical expert, focusing on providing expertise, guidance, and support on solutions requiring deep technical experience. This role leads all development activities and coordinates with other cross-functional teams to ensure delivery. Provides server architecture expertise, direction and assistance to design IT Infrastructure (server, storage, networks etc.) for reliability, scalability and performance
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Level I
Manage enterprise server E2E lifecycle including onboarding, patching, vulnerability remediation and offboarding.
Provide server-related support to design all infrastructure architecture for reliability, scalability and performance
Manage China Kubernetes and docker containers including deployment, orchestration, upgrade, patching and monitoring AKS, ACK and TKE environments
Azure Powershell Scripting, IaC, DSC, IaaS and PaaS solutions. Azure ARM Templates, Ansible, Terraform etc
Manage and provide support to different Windows & Linux environments including Redhat, Oracle Linux
Integrate core capabilities with the new technologies to successfully implement new solution
Maintain system architecture standards required to operationalize business needs for a new service
Advocate the communication of and adherence to defined architecture strategy and standards
Performs deliverable reviews and coaches team in area of expertise in Server services
Mentors team and enables better application of server management principles
Adopts Agile principles to work collaboratively with others to refine and release a proposed design incrementally
Provide continuous competitive and best-practices research, leverage industry resources and market trends, and liaise with internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to inform requirements, drive and evaluate projects
Escalates risks and resolves issues to enable team delivery

QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
Required
Strong experience working with Azure PaaS and IaaS
Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux in a hybrid environment
Strong expertise in virtualization architecture
Strong experience with building and maintaining high-availability (＞99%) environments
Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills in both English and Chinese
Solid experience with HPE, DELL and EMC hardware specifications
Knowledge of templating and automation scripting, IaC is PLUS
Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices
Certificates / Training:
Preferred: Azure Certifications, MCSE, MCITP

6+ years of experience in an IT, Engineering and/or Architect
1+ years of infrastructure architecture experience or equivalent
Education:
Required
Bachelor's in Information Technology
Preferred: Advanced Technical Degree
